Privacy Policy

FinMastery ("we", "us", "our") is a free, gamified financial literacy platform built for Filipinos. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to both our marketing site (finmastery.app) and our learning app (dash.finmastery.app).

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account and registration data. When you create an account, we collect your email address and password (stored securely and never in plain text). If you sign up or sign in with Google, we receive your basic Google profile information (such as your email address) through Google's secure sign-in.
• Profile and learning data. The character name and preferences you choose, your selected interests, and your progress through lessons and quizzes (including XP, Gold, items, streaks, and leaderboard standing).
• Content you create. Information you optionally enter into in-app tools such as the Expense and Income Tracker, the Financial Goals Notebook, and the Portfolio Tracker. This data is associated with your account so it is available to you across sessions and devices.
• Analytics data. Through Google Analytics 4 (GA4), we automatically collect usage information such as pages and screens viewed, events you trigger (for example, starting a lesson or completing a quiz), approximate location (derived from your IP address, not stored as a precise location), device and browser type, and referral source.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and operate your account and deliver the learning experience.
• To save and display your progress, rewards, and the data in your in-app tools.
• To understand how the platform is used so we can improve lessons, features, and performance.
• To send you essential account emails, such as email verification and password resets.
• To keep the platform secure and to prevent abuse of the XP, Gold, and leaderboard systems.

3. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors and learners use FinMastery. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect the usage information described above. We do not use this data to identify you personally, and we do not sell it.

4. Cross-Domain Measurement

FinMastery runs across two domains: the marketing site at finmastery.app and the learning app at dash.finmastery.app. We use Google Analytics cross-domain measurement so that a visit that begins on the marketing site and continues into the app is understood as one continuous session rather than two separate, disconnected ones. This lets us see, in aggregate, how people move from first arriving on the site to signing up and learning. It does not reveal your identity to us.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and your browser's local storage for two main purposes: to keep you signed in and remember preferences (such as your light or dark theme and your English or Taglish language choice), and for the Google Analytics measurement described above. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect how the platform works.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We keep your account and learning data for as long as your account is active. FinMastery does not currently offer self-service account deletion inside the app. If you would like your account and associated personal data deleted, email us at admin@finmastery.app and we will process your request. Aggregated, de-identified analytics data may be retained for statistical purposes.

7. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run FinMastery, such as Google (analytics and sign-in) and our email delivery provider, and only to the extent needed to provide those services. We may also disclose information if required by law.

8. Your Rights Under the Data Privacy Act

FinMastery is built for and marketed to users in the Philippines. We handle personal data in line with the Philippines' Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and the rules of the National Privacy Commission (NPC). Subject to that law, you have the right to be informed, to access and correct your data, to object to certain processing, and to have your data erased. 9. Children's Privacy

FinMastery is intended for users who are at least 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be communicated through the platform where appropriate.
